Wow time flies!!

It seems not long ago I was in training. Well, I mean I still am-- in fact pretty much -always- am, but going for the Gold Olympic training. I remember leaving China thinking "What am I going to do with myself now? Everything is over and done with." I think we all know my events didn't go as planned, but I'm over it. I am. That's part of the whole being olympic athletes thing...people assume we only train in Olympic years, when I can't remember a time I wasn't training.

I haven't been around a lot for you to bust my chops lately. I've been back and forth between Baltimore and Tampa so much that there hasn't been much opportunity. Which sucks, cause I miss you!!

We should catch up soon!

Do you ever think you should have taken a different path? Like push it all aside and decide you want to do whatever you want when you want(and not get blasted all over the papers!)

Some days. January of this year was a little rough for me in general...but if I wasn't swimming, I don't know what I would do. I love to swim...so I'm pretty happy with the path my life has taken.

You don't need to wait for me!! You could always take a trip down here for the weekend, you know...see my house...hang out with me and my man...see my OTHER pool...could be fun... :D

Awe Katie, I think it's because we're young and don't want to be living our lives in training. We love what we do, but we also want to just sit back and be ourselves, you know? I've learned it's a never ending cycle.

But... Answer honestly.. Would you rather be doing anything else? We can complain, but at the end of the day this is what we do. This is what we love :)
