OK, so yesterday in class, several minutes after the professor starts talking, my phone rings. This in itself is not a good thing, since the normal professor reaction in this situation is to pause, look at you like you just killed their first born child, and then carry on, all of which my professor did with gusto. that's embarrassing. but it could be worse: i had a prof that answered the phone for the student, and said that "X was busy, please call back later." i had another prof that straight kicked kids out of class.

yeah, that is definitely worse, and actually, another student covered over my error for me. Her phone rang really loudly and for a lot longer then mine, and instead of turning it off, she just refused the call, and it rang again 10 minutes later. I think he'll remember her and not me. I'm banking on that.

Embarrassing but not as embarrassing as if a donkey started talking to you while you were riding it.
Sorry, just got back from teaching a middle school youth group lesson on Balaam and the talking donkey.
