but yeah it's AP. we have to read Siddhartha, The Kite Runner, the Stranger, Lord of the Flies, Oedipus Rex, The Fountainhead, and the Good Earth. it's quite a load.
That's the same stuff we had, except we had 1984 instead of The Kite Runner. But I did read Kite Runner this past year for a history class. And I think we did technically have Oedipus Rex, but she said we'd go over it in the beginning and not really test on it or anything, just so we knew the main theme of it, since everything relates back to Oedipus Rex. So I don't think anyone actually read that one.
So yeah, it's not too different, just one book. My favorite one was The Fountainhead, but it took like July to read it. The Good Earth SparkNotes is really good, but if you have any questions on any of the books just ask me because I remember them pretty well(except The Good Earth because I only read the SparkNotes).
LMAO. What a day for you kt. I am sorry I couldn't come with you.
After woodbridge I was dead enough as it is... I'm sure your summer will be full of fun. Just do what everyone else did last year and read all the books the week before band camp... lol 1
yeah, i suppose you're rite. at least that's what i've learned from last year and the year before...start assignments while my brain is still functioning. but im sure those college courses will keep me in check anyway..but whatever. yeah and im already 1/2 way thru chem...so GO ME!
ugh...i will STILL make it to six flags tho...i mean, i paid for the season pass...now why not get it validated in the park? lmao
hey, i know you don't know me, but i randomly read this entry off rosanna's friends page, and i wanted to let you know that all the AP reading is worth it. do it. you will be so glad you did. i had to read 'their eyes were watching god' rather than 'the kite runner', but even so, when you get to college and you already have so many classics to recall in discussions, you will thank yourself for not slacking off this summer.
no, i don't go to rutgers.. i go to boston university. i actually moved to boston for good after finishing my second semester, so i can no longer call nj home :(
good luck with your senior year.... its alot of work, but you'll have alot of fun too.
