Spent yesterday with my mom and dad after they made a surprise visit to the city on saturday.  i'll probably get razzed out for it at work today mind you due to the fact that my co-worker called me to see if i could come in.  hello? my parents are down, i am NOT coming in to work to help you because you're too slow to get all of the appointments

Damn straight you shouldn't cover for them if you can't expect the same in return.

You could think of it as being so reliable they look to you first? But don't be a welcome mat because of that.

well, luckily the boss agreed with me today on my reasons for not going in yesterday. I also forgot to mention in my post that I was there an hour after my shift ended, because he moves so friggen slow and i had to wait on 4 customers and do an extra shoot...all of which i had finished before he even finished doing the sales for a shoot that ended 2 hours before

GAWD I hate co-workers. At my 2 craptastic service jobs I'd take shifts all the time since I was jonesing for more money but for those few days I needed off it was like pulling teeth and most of the time I was unsuccessful. I eventually stopped answering my phone to come in because I was more willing to spite people and not get more money than I was to get more hours. Hahaha, there's proof that money's not everything- giving back some karma is worth more! :p
