OK... so you already know how much I enjoyed this :o) I really can't believe you've never done that before! You must write more!!!!

This was so sweet and funny and moving and cute and... cool. When I said I wanted 'Sam and Dean watching LOTR' I really didn't realise just how much it would make me think! The parallels are so... something. I want to say sad but that's not the right word. Although, this bit -

“So, he dies? He gives himself up to the cause and he can’t even enjoy it?”

Just about killed me! Reminded me a little of the operative guy in Serenity. And Sam and Dean of course :o)

But mostly, this just had me cracking up. Because I can absolutely imagine Dean being the kinda guy who would do a running commentary of films while he's watching them! Hey!!!! Maybe you should do Star Wars next? *G*

I loved this line - “You didn’t even need me for that conversation, did you?”. I love those guys and I can't wait until they are back together. Because, like Bert and Ernie, they CANNOT be apart for long!

This was great! I love LOTR (and Supernatural of course) and this was a very realistic conversation. I totally didn't think of the parellels until you pointed them out!

This was so good! The parallels are amazing between the two. Dean can't be Frodo tho. He has to live and enjoy the victory. Finally have some peace in his life.

Lol, glad you liked it. I didn't even think about the parallels between the two stories until I sat down to write this. It all started coming out when I wrote the conversation between the two of them over who is the hero, Sam or Frodo. It's funny, because all four of the characters are pretty interchangeable, so it's plausible that either of the brothers would relate to either of the hobbits. (IMO.)
