I love this entry. I have been dealing with this all of my life, but ESPECIALLY lately. Lots of people in my classes don't understand where I'm coming from in a conversation and when I make comments it seems like no one agrees with me and I stand out as an asshole for saying them, when really I'm sure everyone agrees but are too cowardly to say it. Then they try to bring me down for being the one to tell the truth. I try to get them to follow the path of LOGICAL thought that led to my conclusion, but they refuse, and simply bring up a point like "that's mean" or "let's not talk about this" or "dont stereotype" because theyre too soft to follow any logical debate or reasoning. Thank you.

I'm glad we share the same opinion on this subject. I haven't had to speak any "rational thoughts" yet, but hopefully when the opportunity presents itself, I'll be able to be honest. I admire people who can tell the truth even when it's uncomfortable.
