claire now sits in the back row of the van for this reason. i have the excuse of not being able to hear everything she says, and am therefore not obligated to respond to every little thing that crosses her mind and comes out of her mouth.

LOL!!! This is so funny.
Jack is the same way but we never go on car rides as long as you do I imagine ;)
That's funny that she calls construction vehicles snorts. Jack calls most of them diggers but he loves Are You My Mother?

Such chatterboxes at this age :o)

I babysat my 3-year-old nephew Milton on Saturday from 1PM - 10:30PM. He asked me many questions also. He was a total chatterbox! Especially when he was supposed to be in bed sleeping.

He wanted to know if I liked the same stuff as him, and also if Trevor did. "Does Trevor like dragonflies? Does Trevor like blueberries?" He asked me "How come your butt is big? What is that I smell? I smell you." He asked me to list off all the people I like to hug. "Do you have a mommy and a daddy? Does Trevor like to hug you? What are your brothers names?" He also asked for lots of hugs, if I could read the Home Depot tractor and lawn mower catalog to him and then asked about every item if we had it at our house, if I could rub his back, etc.

I must say I found it quite entertaining but was exhausted by the end of the day!

I love this! So precious. And I totally guessed what a snort was right away - I spend way too much time with 2-3 year olds.
