I'm watching The Rachel Maddow Show RIGHT NOW and Uncle Pat Buchanan just said the best thing ever, so I had to LJ it immediately.  They're talking about the bailout plan, of course, and Pat says,

Telegrams...emails are coming in 200 to 1 against this, Rachel.

Why am I not watching MSNBC all day long? Because sometimes, like right now, I have to watch Letterman tell Paris Hilton about her new show, "Don't take this the wrong way, but this kinda stuff is why people hate America, don't you think?"

Well, you can be forgiven for not watching MSNBC at midnight. I trust you saw Letterman ranting about McCain canceling his appearance?

Oh, of course, so funny. The best part was having that live feed to the CBS News room with Couric.

The problem with watching all day long is like they only have two shows which they keep repeating all day.

That's excellent, though! That allows me to have some semblance of a life, yet still watch everything they have to show me. For example, last night I missed the first showing of Rachel Maddow because I was tutoring, but I was able to catch the second one while dinner was cooking, and had I not been able to get to sleep last night I could have enjoyed the third showing as an encore.

The real problem is that I would be inclined to watch Morning Joe, but it's on at 3am and never reruns. :(
