Here's a thought .....

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies.

Facts: :1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Australians, British or Americans ( Read more... )

What? What? What? I know no language other than English. I am a turd. The only French I know is "Eifell Tower", and the only Italian is "Vino". I am a sad, totally illiterate (where languages are concerned) person. Help me out here and tell me what you said?

Hee! You're not alone!

It says "so better to speak Italian" and that way you get the unlimited wine too!

Okay, I give up. What bloody language is that? I would guess Russian? And what does it say?

Muy bueno, soy seguro.

(Only not really, since I'm hardly fluent.)

"hardly fluent" is better than me, dearest. What the bloody hell did you say? And in what language?

Thank you, but I'm quite sure you could learn if you were so inclined.... I said "Very good, I'm safe", in Spanish. (And, I would just like to point out, that American character maps have no Spanish exclamation points, which is deeply annoying.)

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head with the "so inclined" comment. I've NEVER been one for languages, even French, and I am suitably ashamed. Every time I call another county the receptionist of whatever company it is speaks better English than I do her language and it embarrasses me. And so it should.

*hangs head in shame* and hums under breath: "the English, the English, the English are best, so UP with the English and DOWN with the rest!" - Flanders and Swann, the 1960s. That's a quote from a song - a taking the piss song, but very funny nevertheless, don't get mad.
