The king of infinite space: Finding Shakespeare in Buenos Aires, Part Two

This weekend, lots of wonderful things happened.  On Friday night I went to a bar that is in a former mansion, it was absolutely gorgeous (if far too expensive for its own good).  On Saturday I went for lunch in Palermo Viejo with my friend Sara, and not once but twice a band of clowns passed us by and invited us to their show.  (We didn't go.)  ( Read more... )

What I meant, rather, was his assumption that a person can only have one love in their lifetime, and specifically that Gertrude could not call it love with Claudius on account of being older. This seems to me to be a fatal misconception. I suppose it wouldn't change the course of his vengeance if he could accept that Gertrude really loves Claudius, though. It wasn't very well-thought-out.
