She makes a lot of sense. I agree completely with both the maid of honor and stepping on toes issues.

For the maid of honor- you need someone who you can call anytime of the night or day to help out. Little things come up that you can't take care of because you are doing other stuff.

These are the people I made mad or upset at some point during the wedding process- his mom, my mom, my sister, my aunt, my grandmother and a few brides maids. And I wasn't even being a bridezilla!!!

If I wasn't already locked into my career and had tons of money, I'd start an event planning company. I LOVE that stuff. Sigh.

Well thank heavens this whole "making people mad" thing isn't just me. And I am trying SO hard not to be a bridezilla. I want this to be a fun and happy experience for everyone involved.

Katie Katie Katie...every every EVERY bridge turns into bridezilla at some point. I had a teeny tiny wedding and even I turned into the demon bride. You have to do what you feel will make you happiest. Don't even suggest to the other girls that you're comtemplating someone else. Ultimately, its up to you. Pick whomever you feel is most reponsible and who will help you through your stresses. The friend you have in Greenville might be your best choice simply due to the fact that, if you're planning on getting married in TN, you need someone closer to you than Baton Rouge. I'm sure your BR friends will understand. If they don't, then they need to realize that its your wedding, you're paying for it, and they can kiss your ( ... )
