I was just reading a bit on Guenon and Sufism and I found this article that's was unfolding to be really interesting to me... then I read pg. 7!

Guenon's follower Frithjof Schuon moved to Bloomington, Indiana in 1981 and started a Sufi community there.  He died in 1998.

Compare and contrast the differences between Evola and Schuon. Where have we seen this sort of split before?

For all that I wouldn't live there again for all the tea in China, Bloomington is definitely a nexus of sorts. Probably why the Dalai Lama's brother settled there, among other things.

lol! I'd practically forgotten about the Dalai Lama's brother. :) I heard rumors that he was a bad landlord for dumpy college apartments. I really enjoyed the Tibetan restaurants we had there, as a result, though. All around amazing ethnic food there - both the markets and the restaurants were phenomenal! It was a good place to go to school... I wouldn't want to live there again either; but i've been curious to make a trip back there sometime for a visit or possibly even for a summer to take some post-grad library school classes.
