I think I love the history article a leetle bit too much. But they said linguistics! and archaeology! in the same article!

Which article was that?

Do you knit? I'm a complete newbie to it, but the call of the yarn is quite compelling. :P

The History 101 article. I definitely need to send the link to my parents.

I learned to knit when I was about eight, but I never really did anything with it until recently. I think I was browsing around A C Moore when I decided to pick up a poncho book and make one of them. Recently, I bought another book and started a sweater in it, then remembered about the knitting group and joined that, which led me to Knitty. I decided to try a lace scarf from Knitty and the sweater's on hiatus, now - I'm going to go back to it sometime, but the lace is sososo much more fun.

Knitty has some purdy scarves. :) I'm going to attempt Branching Out soon, and I'd also like to try Cozy at some point, too.

I'm also in love with this scarf, although I think I'll pass on the $60/oz. lace they recommend. ;)

I've mostly been lurking about, commenting here and there. My RL is quite boring. ;)

Hee hee, me too! Of course, I think I'm capable of only making maybe ONE of the projects at my current skill level, but I like to dream big. :D

Ooh! I may have to knit that flower tether. And I can't believe the nauteloids... any knitting pattern that says, "Tentacles (knit 8)" is a good knitting pattern... :D

My daughter and I decided that the nauteloids were "darn stinkin' cute". :P

Hey, quick question for you -- what size needles are you using for your Branching Out scarf? The pattern says #8, but that seems rather large to me...

Oh, I like Tendrils and Convertible. And the stuffed nautili (more than one nautilus? Who knows?) are dead KEWT :)

Some pretty stuff there, eh? :) And yes, I died of giggles at seeing the "nauties". :P
