it's kinda like when john lennon was killed.

oh wow. john has always been my favorite. and certainly the nicest guy to talk to. and i missed his last show in texas. if only i had known. and i don't even have any pictures with him. oh well.

BUT i'm so happy that you get a full-time husband, i know you've been wanting that. so, this is great. it's not sad news but happy news.

tell john to get a lj so we can still feel like he's around. wait, does he already have one and i just don't know about it?

P.S. add bravehrtedgrl to your friends list - it's my new journal

No, John doesn't have an lj; he thinks they're pretty silly. ;) And good to know about your new journal...thanks!

well, he's silly for not having one. they really are a great way to keep in touch with people.

As a former 'band-widow' I understand how bitter sweet this is for you.
I was so relieved when Tim decided to quit the band to go to law school, but I also knew it would be hard on him because playing music is so important to him.
This is really the first summer in almost ten years where he hasn't gone on tour. At least he still manages to get out that creative outlet by filling in (drums, bass, or guitar) for a couple other projects once in a while.
Good luck to you and John. I really hope this new chapter brings many opportunities and blessings.

thank you for your words. it's been really nice to hear from people who have been through it, whether they were the band widow or the musician. sometimes it feels like i won't make it through and i get this urge to tell him not to quit, but i know that's fear talking. this is good...i'll be so happy to have him home. it's not that i have anything against the band; i love them and we'll keep supporting them after he's out. this just isn't our path anymore.
