Wish I could help you with that one, dear. I've used the free version of Skype, and it gave me problems, but it was just that. Skype. Not Pro. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. =(
We used Vonage in our last apartment, and we had a lot of issues with dropped calls or people trying to call us but getting a busy signal. Adam emailed them at one point and also never heard back; I think he eventually had to call. I'm not sure what the result was, but we dropped the service when we moved because we were so frustrated with them.
im so mad i could spit, on vonage!blue_yinJuly 5 2007, 15:54:45 UTC
Well, when did we call them? it has been a holiday week. if we called them last friday or thursday ... i could see why it might be taking a little extra time. 2 days for the weekend. then one day for the 4th. maybe wait till monday then cancel? Heck, ya can always email them again, you have all the right info now. I really cant remember when the call happened. i thought it was right before you were leaving for something. Anywhos, let me how it all goes.

I am giving them this week to straighten out things and then I am calling to raise hell from Matthew's this next weekend. How bloody irksome this all is!
I've got the regular Skype program, but I don't actually have a headset for my computer, so on the occasions that I've had to use it, I've just used the IM feature.
The chat program is nice. My headset keeps cutting out on me when I use it, so that's a bad idea to use it. I just want it bloody fixed soon...it's been over two weeks...nearly three.
I hope you get the technology stuff straigtened out. Indulging my ludite side, I will be writing a pen and paper letter to you later today. I've not been on livejournal much, but I think of you and have decided that some old fashioned letter writing was in order. Take care of your fine self.
I just posted you a letter last week! It should arrive any day now. I sent my grandfather a letter two days before he sent me a birthday card. Serendipitous!
Your blog suggests you are doing well and I eagerly look forward to the letter.
My own love lives two hours away. How long is the long distance thing you will be having soon?
I got your letter today in fact. And have read part of it, but due to family duties, I did not get to finish it yet. What I have read, I have very much enjoyed. Especially about your movement to liberate pansies.
My lover man will be six hours away, more or less depending on traffic and one's propensity to speeding. He'll be up in Athens, GA, and I'm in Gainesville, FL.
More news of my state of mind, body, spirit will be outlined in the snail mail letter I write. I send lots and lots of good thoughts your way.
