I'm fond of quoting Wittgenstein as saying, "That which cannot be said must be passed over in silence." It occurs to me today that, frequently, that which cannot be said can be said with a hug.

I'm fine. Just feeling a particularly strong bit of empathy. But my day tomorrow is set aside for a funeral, and that's _not_ what brought this to mind.

Cookies, too. Cookies aren't quite as versatile as hugs, but they definitely fall outside the realm of things that can be said with words. :-)
