I currently have 113 works archived at AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 113 (the first thing I posted there), and I'll tell you three things I currently like or three random tidbits about it.
1.) This was the first gift exchange fic I ever wrote! I wrote it for luvscharlie at HPValensmut 2011 and was so nervous about it that I had like three separate betas to help me! I think it's hilarious, and it was super gratifying when most of the readers also thought so! It was my first real humorous piece and it gave me a lot more confidence to write humor. (My sense of humor doesn't always come across very well in real life, so I was nervous it wouldn't come across on the page. In fact, I now think I'm far funnier in writing than in real life!)
2.) It's my most popular fic on AO3 based on kudos! (3rd highest for hits)
3.) I created an entire back story for Lee in this fic, which I was very pleased with. It's only a few paragraphs of the total story, but I think it really adds a lot.
To Start a Fire. Ha! A Zacharias rare pair-- fitting choice!
1.) My prompt was a Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff het pairing. I finished the entire story before I realized that Susan was a Hufflepuff, not a Ravenclaw. *facepalm*
2.) I think this was partly inspired by a desire to have a electronic device free weekend away! In the story, Susan works too much, so Zach locks away her wand so that they can focus on each other without distraction. I admit to wanting to do this to my husband's iPhone at times.
3.) I googled British terminology for fireplace accessories and such, which was not only ultimately unhelpful but also wound up with me getting really ridiculous fireplace adverts on my computer for a while.
