I didn't know I needed this today. From all of your questions, I knew to be prepared for the sucker-punch, but I still gasped when it came, and oh, don't be at all worried about misrepresenting museums, because you didn't. And good on Teddy for chasing her just enough to let her know he wants her, but doesn't want to change her. (I have to admit that was a good shot about burning bridges with Fiendfyre, though. Yowza.)

Oh, yay! I'm so pleased that you liked it and that the museum aspects worked! It's always intimidating when you're trying to incorporate the lingo and you're not quite sure you're using it properly! So I admit to being quite relieved about that! I'm also particularly chuffed you liked that line about burning bridges with Fiendfyre. I thought it quite good myself, and it's always nice to have someone else notice those bits! I really wanted it to be Victoire making the decisions for herself and not about her leaving everything she'd worked for because of a man. That just felt wrong for her character. I think that's why this wound up being so much longer/more involved than I'd originally planned! I kept thinking I was there, but Victoire just wasn't ready to let go of Paris yet. I'm glad it seems I earned the ending! Thanks very much!

I've had this sitting in a tab for several days, and I'm so glad I finally got a few minutes to read it! I love your Victoire. I love your Teddy. I love them together. And I love how you've captured that shift from girl to woman and how that changes us, and how it can be so scary to revisit the people and places from our youths. This was a really wonderful story about one of my favorite pairings. Well done, you.

This is pretty much the story in a nutshell! So thank you. :) I'm glad you love the pairing. I never had strong feelings one way or the other about them, but I loved this prompt! But so many of my brainstorming friends turned their nose up at the pairing. I was rather shocked at how unpopular it was, especially given it's canon! But no matter. :) I had fun!
