Why me!?!

Ok, so ,remember how last time I stated that my Sims 2 game had reinstalled properly after I hadn't played for ~7 months? Well, I had typed that message before I had actually play-tested. Sorry you're having this. :( Did you make sure after uninstalling that all the files had gone before reinstalling? Sometimes some data can be left behind as that's what it sounds like your computer is seeing. http://www.ehow.com/how_5128058_remove-traces-program.html
Origin gave me quite a run around like that and it was all because one small folder still remained.

Thanks for the link Jo, but I've tried all of that already and I STILL can't uninstall correctly. :(

I'll have to talk to my dad about what can be done. *sigh*

You may need to do a regedit to remove all the traces of your former install; this happened to me in January. CCleaner got a lot of the old stuff, but not all of it. I followed the steps outlined on MTS with some trepidation, but it worked.
