Hot!
It was sizzling warm today. I strolled to the gym (1.3 miles) and swam for about an hour, 2000 yards, and strolled home (1.3 miles). Quite nice, if not a bit warm. The water was wonderful. But I felt like my core was not quite engaged and I was flopping around... -
Recovery workout
My legs are still pretty sore from my race on Sunday. But I had to get back in the game, or else I was going to be in worse shape next time. So I strolled to the gym (1 mile) and did a easy recovery swim. My arms aren't so sore now. I swam a nice leisurely 1000 yards. Then I strolled back home (1 mile). Gotta put some icy hot on that quad! -
Long Island Gold Coast Triathlon
I participated in the Long Island Gold Coast Triathlon. I came in just as I thought I would, right under two hours. 1:57:59
Not bad for a day's work! :-) Next up New York City Triathlon! Twice as long...Gotta get some more training in. But my bike and run times have improved! -

Sorry it's been awhile guys! :-) I've been really busy with trying to find a new school to teach at, playing soccer, and training. I'm going into racing season, which is always exciting, but time consuming.
I did a race in Central Park last weekend. It was four miles, and I got a 4 mile PR by a significant margin! :-) In fact, I've been looking at ( Read more... ) -

So we're having some sort of important visit tomorrow and our AP was walking around checking on bulletin boards etc. She knocked on my door and said "Your bulletin board has to be up ASAP because they're coming." Rain, rain, go away
Yesterday and last night there was a lot of rain in NYC and surrounding areas. So much rain, in fact, that New Jersey schools are closed. Are NYC schools closed? Of course not, eventhough there are some neighborhoods under water. Ah fun. You know what else is under water? My matress! Yes, that's right, my roof leaked right on top of my bed! I was born to run
I just saw a picture of my grandfather and i "running" down the street at my old house. I was about 2-3 and i'm concentrating very hard on picking my feet up really high! Of course, we weren't really running since I was so small. But it just proves that I was born to run! :-) My grandfather has won many age-group medals in Senior Olympics sports, ( Read more... )
