A Hetalia-based Role Play taking place on an IRC ( Internet Relay Chat ) channel!
We're planning a lovely list of prompts which we will change on a weekly basis, so there'll always be something new going on!
All we ask is that we all stick to Himaruya-canon as a starting point, and develop relationships as we wish from there. You'll find the full list of rules below!
-Rules!-
(1. Flaming/Bashing)
No flaming/bashing of any sort. This will not be tolerated, and depending on the severity, you may be removed. (just be mature, guys! c: if you need to vent, open a PM window with either me, katokatsu (England, Spain) or Lillypuff (Prussia, Russia) We're all ears. ♥ )
(2. OOC and Private Chats)
Indicate OOC with double brackets, as in the following:
[[BRB GUYS THERE'S A GIANT BUG FLYING AROUND MY ROOM]]
If you would like to set up a personal chat with any of the members, use the command
/query INSERTNAMEHERE INSERTMESSAGEHERE
for example, if I wanted to speak with Prussia privately, I would type the following into my chat window:
/query Gilbert HEY GIL!! WASSUP, BRAH! >8D
and a new window will pop up. If you have any questions/issues/just want to get to know us, feel free to chat personally with either me or Lilly! We love getting to know members, so don't be shy!
However, do realize that we cannot mod these side conversations, so be sure to set any ground rules with your chat partner as soon as you begin! This applies particularly to ships.
(3. Godmodding)
Please limit your messages to your own character's actions. That is, if the character does not belong to you, do not dictate their actions or what they will say.
(4. Foreign Languages)
If you'd like to use foreign languages in your dialogue, it is acceptable, as long as you include a translation at the end of your message.
example
¡Te quiero, Lovi! Boss Spain is so proud of you, mi querido!(I love you, Lovi! ; my dear)
Please try not to get carried away, though! A few words or phrases are acceptable, do your best to stay away from entire messages in a foreign language.
(5. Actions)
Actions on IRC can be indicated by the following command:
/me INSERTACTIONHERE
example
/me throws four textbooks at Francis
would show up as
Arthur throws four textbooks at Francis
(6. Names)
We'd like you to stick to nation names unless you've established a close relationship with the person you're addressing; however, human names are acceptable. c: For nations who don't have canon human names (e.g., Ukraine, Hong Kong, etc.) you may propose a nickname, but please let us know in your application!
(7. Content)
Please keep it PG-16! Use your personal judgment, but don't let it get in the way of your characterization. For example, it's okay to have Lovino drop the F bomb pretty often, as it is in his personality, but just don't let it get too out of hand. The same goes for explicit sexual content and things of the sort. If you'd like to RP a romantic situation, open up a separate chat with that person and go nuts ♥
(8. Activity)
We totally understand that life can be overwhelming sometimes, and you've probably got more pressing issues than a silly Hetalia RP, so if anything comes up (you'll be going on vacation, you've got a final coming up, etc) or if you would like to withdraw from the RP, it's cool. Just let us know at least a week in advance, if you can help it, so we can get everything sorted out!
(9. Ships)
You are NOT required to RP our ships; however, we would prefer it if you do not RP our non-ships.
There are a couple ships that we would require through RPing, though.
They are marked with an asterisk.

South Italy x Anybody Other Than Spain (There is suggestion in canon of something of a potential crush with Belgium, which is acceptable. Just be aware, Spain will do everything he can to get in the way. c:)
Denmark x Sweden
Belarus x Russia ( Though, Belarus ----------> Russia is fine, he just won't return the affections. )
Russia x China
Switzerland x Liechtenstein
Anything in between is perfectly fine.
Again, if you'd like to RP privately with any other members, it's completely acceptable given consent; however, please keep our non-ships out of the main RP.
(10. Unavailable)
Fanmade characters and Ancient countries (including HRE) are not going to be accepted.

Reply to this post with who you'd like to RP, as well as a sample of your RP'ing skills with said character. We would also like you to include any information about your ships, if you're particular like us. ♥ We'll make sure to notify you if you're accepted!
If you're accepted we will send the server and channel information via Livejournal message.

Weeks One and Two: Getting to know each other! // End date: Sunday, 3 October
Now's your chance to establish foundations for potential relationships, get to know everybody, and get used to IRC. Basically, it's anything goes for two weeks!
If you guys have any suggestions for prompts, let us know! We wanna make sure we RP situations that members are interested in, so propose away!
