Ok, so, last night I wandered over to the website of Rolf Horn, one of my favorite contemporary black & white photographers (as one does when one is supposed to be writing a dissertation, naturally). And I had a delusional episode fangirl moment...

Lovely technique, but relatively unremarkable and weak compared to Horn's best (imho), right?
BUT, my first thought upon seeing it? "OMG TARDIS!"
