It's funny, it feels like there's so much cultural leeway (maybe more here and now than elsewhere and other times, but suppose I don't really know) with how to dress for various doings that what qualifies as 'dressed up' is more about a person's relative wardrobe than the occasion. My personal style is in sort of an extreme state of flux right now- I'm sort of trying to dress more creatively but also like a grownup these days- and it's starting to feel a little funny everyone telling me I look 'dressed up' whenever I'm wearing something that's not the old classic jeans/hoodie combo.

This is a very un-grammatical comment, sorry, my brain is mushy tonight.
