Happy April 2nd everybody. I left LJ off my April's Fool list, but those of you following me on other sites may have noticed that portableteejay and I got engaged yesterday. To clarify: yep, that was of course a joke. We did hang out the other day however, and saw "The Runaways

You know, I was wondering when you'd get around to Velvet Goldmine. :) Because I think I hold VG as THE standard when it comes to biopics (although Slade is fictionalized Bowie so Todd Haynes could get away with more stuff--but in some ways I feel as though he got closer to the "truth").

I still kind of want to see this movie. Except I like neither Kristin Stewart nor Dakota Fanning.

Your friend is totally right about Joan Jett's "sex eyes".

I agree... I think biopics shouldn't shy away from fictionalization, really. They never get it factually right anyway--people always point out "that's not how it was!" May as well make a good movie then.

You SHOULD see it. :-) I think it's kinda worth it even if it's not that great.
