I hate it when people pan the later albums. They're my favourites. I love the funk crossover, and if bitches can't see how Prince came directly from that shit, they don't deserve to review ANYTHING.

But hey, which song was it?

I've been listening to that album on repeat a bit too much lately, heh, and while I do like it I think at the moment the listening overload made me feel "ok, so maybe it's only good in small doses." It's "Whatever Happened to the Teenage Dream" though.

Yeah, my favourite is Futuristic Dragon, I can honestly listen to that on repeat for ages. But man, Light of Love and Bolan's Zip Gun are so ridonkulously good too.

What a weird choice for a soundtrack. Effective though I guess.

I am pretty sure it was in fact a wink to the fetishization of both: I think the fetishization of Knives was very directly referred to several times, both in how everyone gave Scott "props" for dating the "Chinese schoolgirl" and in his sister's exasperation with the same. I did not feel we were supposed to regard that fetishization uncritically. I mean, Scott is generally an ass.

Wallace's moniker was a little more confusing; I don't think the film was as clear on where it stood there.
