Ah, I said I hate the PORTRAYAL of MPDG's in fiction, as beautiful, quirky, broken girls who must be rescued by the love of a decent ordinary Everyman lest she meet a lonely end. :)

After all, I cultivate the MPDG aura myself, except I'm not broken. Just weird.
