It's not perfect, sure. And it's not always practical or possible for everyone, although I do think for people who worry about killing for their food, the harm that comes from perhaps eating non-locally is still not outweighed by the harm of killing to eat. And there are certainly plenty of vegans who do try to eat only locally-sourced produce. And the mechanical harvesters are an issue, but vegans aren't the only ones eating vegetables, so that's a problem for everyone, pretty much.
Although I think it's kind of ironic to comment on my post (which was not about preaching being vegan) telling me all about what you think is wrong with veganism, no? And especially that bit about how much spite-driven relish you had in eating the sausage.
I mean, I'm sorry, but the entire tone of your post is very belittling towards vegans and vegan beliefs. And even though I don't believe on pushing my ethical choices on others, I still am one, and I don't appreciate that.
