To start off thank you to everyone who said they were interested in meeting at Coffee Exchange for discussion night. ^_^ I'm excited. So does Monday night work for everyone? If not post a couple alternative times that would be good and I'll figure something out ( Read more... )

yes, part of living in a capitalist society means having to secure a living, theft does cut down on the profit that is so necessary. But really... I don't think Microsoft is among those businesses who are really hurting for funds. The world is changing, and instead of changing with it, they are tightening their fists on their wallets.
There are many others ways they could respond to a changing marketplace than by forcing their consumers into a corner.
This looks to me like a new approach on a monopoly.

Oh, and I have a class on Monday at 7 to 8... Though I have nothing at all to do with my day from three till then...
I might just have to leave early or show up late as the case may be.
Other times for me are tuesday or thursday after 5, Wed after 3 or on Friday in the afternoon.

As far as the schedule, I work until at least 5pm Monday through Friday. Monday evenings are bad for me, as I have to be in early on Tuesdays and often have to work late on Mondays. Thursdays and Wednesdays are my magical, "get other stuff done" days, if it's possible to aim for those.

I'll post more of a response to the main thread of this post as a seperate reply, once I've collected my thoughts more fully.
