you're entirely right. the beauty in new baltimore are the extremely close friendships, and the unique personalities. i had the best friends growing up there and couldn't have asked for more. yet, sadly i think that all of that has died away once the drugs became involved. it saddens me because i watched people become things they said they'd never be. that being said i still truly love quite a few people there and would do anything for them regardless of anything that has happened. and there are also the few that overcame the new baltimore sucks your soul out syndrome. i don't know. i've never lived in any other town growing up so i can't say what is normal or unique about growing up there, but i certainly have mixed emotions.
