Where are you moving to? The place I'm looking at is on Warren right off of Avery.

Oh! I used to live on Avery & Calumet. Are you going to be in the Woodbridge neighborhood then? I couldn't find anything decent for rent there!!! I'm moving to downtown Royal Oak, right off Main St.

I'm on Warren so not technically in Woodbridge, but if I walk fifteen feet then yes haha. I got lucky because the girl who lives there is breaking her lease to go to Korea so I'm just taking it over for her. I haven't found shit anywhere near campus that's reasonable besides ABC buildings and I don't want to end up with the tiny ass closet sized bedroom, although they are mega cheap.

ROYAL OAK is for fags. My manager at work here is from Royal Oak, and he's pretty lame, but he's cool, I guess. Sushi.

Royal Oak isn't really BAD, but it isn't all that great either. I never understood why teenage kids -well, come to think of it I know some people my age and older- seem to think it's SO AWESOME OMG! It's a rather overrated joint. Well, sort of; to be honest, there are some great stores, markets, restaurants and other things to do there and in the surrounding area(s) which are NOT overrated. Some are even UNDERrated (unsung would be a better word...) simply because whenever someone thinks about Royal Oak they only picture "Downtown" Royal Oak. That one, 3 or 4 block section on Main St, just BARELY bigger than "Downtown" New Baltimore. To most people, that's Royal Oak. That's the whole city. and "Oh, it's just so cute, isn't it?" Yeah, I guess? Great people-watching, that's for sure. And what happened to free parking all weekend? Only Sunday now, eh? Bastards. But there's quite afew noteworthy places out there. Contrary to what many believe, the city extends further north than the Main Art and further south than Barnes & Noble. (And of ( ... )

I live at 14 and Coolidge. I'm like one minute from Noble Fish but still have never gone there. I live on the last outskirt of "Royal Oak" right now, more like Birmingham/Clawson. It's kinda ehhh. Close to a lot of stuff, but not walking distance and a little to suburban boring. I just moved (well halfway) to Downtown Royal Oak, right off Main Street. Now I can walk to whatever I want, and I'm closer to the freeway and my job in Detroit. Also I haven't been to John King Books, I've heard a ton about it but haven't had a chance to go (there are so many places like this I need to find time for). I order a lot of used books off abebooks.com but I'm craving some new reading material.
