Hammond should be ok. I spent the hurricane ~5 miles east of it in Albany and had the back door open the whole time and even fell asleep with a window open. Gusts up to 90 at most probably.

Talked with my sister in Ponchatuala last night, and they had high winds but no flooding in her area, with some damage from downed trees. No electricity or cell phones, but spotty land line connections, mostly local calls as opposed to long distance. They were able to drive into Baton Rouge for gas and food last night, so being on the north shore has kept them out of harms way compared to those stuck down in New Orleans.

Hammond is not okay.
My mom works for a lawyer.
Her best friend, whom is also a lawyer in hammond,
is having to set up an office here.
She said that there are a lot of damanged buildings.

I haven't seen yet.
I hear its super bad though.
