My ten year old wore her straw cowboy hat to school the other day. She also had on a camo skirt and a white tshirt. I thought she looked cute so I didn't tell her not to wear it. A little while back, the wife and I were talking, and we were regretting the way we were trying to get her to curb her bad habits, such as making weird noises and spazzing out. We told her that kids will make fun of her for that.

Obviously, it didn't take... heheheh....
My one and only concern would be that she not dress like a hoochie, and hopefully not accidently dress to old, if you can get that.
But yeah, I don't even have to ask M. about that, I know she'll agree.

Basically, my rule is that she's not allowed to dress like a whore. Anything other than that is debate-able. Sometimes Raven comes out wearing the ***ugliest*** outfits imaginable, and I do my best to not laugh at her. The problem I have is that she's not the most socially gracefull person I've ever met, and since she already has other things going against her (like the fact that she gets 3 haircuts a year, and they're all done in Oregon) I do try to gently help her put outfits together in a generically-pleasing sort of way.
I wore some stuff when I was a kid that I look back on and wonder what the hell I was smoking. =O)
