As for the girl's bf, you have my sympathies. I set a rule of age 16 to date. Then my boy had a secret gf at school in 6th grade, which of course made the girl think it was ok for her to do. I'd rather have honesty than secrets. Just like we did, they'll do it whether they have parent's permission or not. Phones are pretty safe. I tell them not to say anything on the phone that they wouldn't say in front of me, because they never know what I hear. I can't believe we're old enough to have kids that are "dating." Give me a call sometime if you want to chat, we can compare notes & strategies. :)
