Ideally, I'm after ones at least 18" or so. Definite bonus points if they're lying down, or in some other pose that means they're suitable for hugging in bed, not simply being posed around a room.
Rather a pity with that specific one - as I recall, she was nicely on-model, too. Still, as you say, it was rather inevitable - they'll overlook a lot of fan activity, but less so ones that are commercially motivated.
