Marian received the missive from her father’s overseer during her luncheon meal. The maid curtsied and left while Marian broke her father’s seal. Brilliant, just brilliant! Definitely worth the long wait :) Guy & Marian's situation is untenable and they need some relief. Hope they find their way to each other somehow. Looking forward to next chapter anxiously :)

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! I wrote down an outline for what I wanted to happen so it shouldn't be half a year before the next chapter is up! They have a long way to go indeed, but it will happen.

Can't understand why Marian doesn't see how much she, her father, even Knighton depend on Guy and Vazey's "good will", no one likes it but the circumtances are those... Her idealism is making her play with fire.

I know Guy is aiming at protecting himself and Marian by doing Vazey's biding, I hope there's a way around this.

Almost forgot about this fic, I'm glad you are still writing.

I was flailing around with happiness to see this updated; there's too much good G/M fic in the fandom left unattended. :(

I admire you for going to a place where their relationship is a massive mess, because boy, this is painful to read. Which means it is good because however much it hurts to know, it's unlikely Guy and Marian would initially have been conciliatory towards each other if they married at the end of S1. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for these two to eventually grow closer though. ;)
