Definitely. And because having an extra day of weekend lends itself more to productivity that having the weekend come earlier than it should.

Every week should have three days of weekend, at the very minimum.

See I have every Friday off and it is wonderful, but every Monday I kick myself for not asking that day off instead... Wait.... How about Friday AND Monday off? Every week? Eh?

Of course then you might have a problem with too much time on your idle hands, and where would we be then? Annual posts in honor of days off, most likely.
