Sometimes, as I walk on my way between where I was and where I'm going, I become inexplicably afraid of falling. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I anticipate a malfunction in my foot, and I can see it tucking behind its counterpart, ceasing their forward progress. My upper half, however, is unaware of the critical meltdown in functions below ( Read more... )

I'm actually sorta hoping that we get to do some of that stuff in my class too. I think I could enjoy great benefits from knowing how to fall properly.

I fall down a lot.

It hurts most of the time.

I break as easily as, if not easier than, most people but if I were to stop I would have the time to reflect on my lack of accomplishment and the futility of not surrendering myself to a life of sandpaper masturbation.

My mom fell like this the other day, no hands to break her fall. Right on her face because of a puddle of water in the slick garage. Because it also happened to me last summer, we related the stories of how the thud is felt in your face and nose for weeks. Neither the fall or the impact is anything like a "moment of release."

You could always jump out of a plane.
