I've heard so many people talking about 'Magicians' ... perhaps I should put it on my summer to-watch list when I need something to fill the time in-between breaks. :)

And, honestly, while I an sad when a season is really short, if that was all the writers had in them, I'd rather have 10 solid episodes than 20 episodes with 10 "filler" episodes. 'Expanse' and 'Dragon Prince', for example, are pretty damn tight with their storytelling. I'm sure they could think of wacky side adventures for the characters to have to make it a 24 episode season, but it would take away from the quality.

I'd give it a shot! I think Season 1 is a bit ploddy and I like the characters much more now. They've all grown on me.

And you're right - solid episodes are much better than filler. I always just want more of everything!

I'm excited and surprised by how much I've grown to like it. Season 1 is a bit wonky but I love how the characters have grown and progressed, especially Q. I hope you enjoy it!
