I have been officially medically cleared for moving overseas. On this end, anyway. Now we have to wait to hear from Kadena as to whether or not I'm cleared THERE...that part will take up to 14 days. At that point, we turn in all the paperwork, and we're issued official hard-copy orders. So, we're looking at getting our orders in about a month ( Read more... )

Whoa, I had no idea that it was such an ordeal (more than the dental stuff you posted) to get cleared to live overseas. Still, it must be so exciting! Even if you say it's all you have going on I'd love to read about it and how your Japanese-learning is going. I don't have an interest in Japan, but I imagine all the awesome technology you'll be going to (and all the cute bento and character stuff) and aww. I hope you post pictures of your place (and remember LJ!) when you're off living over there. :)
