A lot of angry ranting. Just non-sensical crap I've needed to get off my chest for awhile.
I'm normally not a mean person. I'm not vengeful or spiteful or hateful. I'm pretty nice, and understanding. But when you're given crap about an event that you had nothing to do with. Let's keep this...er... to be kept from Amtgardians, okay? Well, Mirly being an exception, but everyone else ... yeah. Anyway.
Yeah, I live with the monarch, but he knew about as much about this stupid event as I did. He wasn't even in charge, a dozen other people were. When I asked anyone questions about what was happening (mainly because other people were constantly asking me) I didn't get a damned single answer, and when I offered ideas (like when I told certain people to *NOTIFY* the city in July) or help I was ignored. Yet when we had to go kiss ass in city hall or go around the area (the 4 surrounding counties) to find another location, guess who had to do *that*.
It should of been a Forsaken Lakes event. Not that I mind Kelly, or Mira or Mirly or anything, but the fact that ONLY Jon and Dobber knew about it was ticking everyone off. Okay, ticking me and certain others off, but it was a majority anyway....
And then they ask who's the new regent, and, like I want the job. I should applogize to Dobber about that, though, but there was no way I was taking it after an event was comming up THE NEXT SATURDAY and I knew nothing about it. Besides, the only ~~~~only~~~~ reason I would of ever taken it is if there wasn't anyone else. Hell, I've got SCA starting this year, faire and all- I wouldn't have time.
Speaking of that, I think I'm slightly happy the event is cancelled- Dobber was starting to buckle under the stress. It's nice that Jon made him autocrat and all, at such short notice, but he had major tests, and the doc's thing, and btw, the kid's not even 16. Christ Jon, stop being so fucking oblivious and take some of that work load off of him. I ended up doing his first run for him anyway, kid needed a break.
......Huh. I haven't had the job for two years now, yet I still do all the A&S stuff. I do all the cooking for feasts. I'm supposed to do the new flag (which can wait a few weeks now that the event is cancelled, yay!), which will be an experiment in itself. I'm still sewing costumes constantly for them all- three cloaks, two tunics and a red mage costume in the last season- though the red mage costume shouldn't count, as I'm actually getting paid to do it. Well, another month of Runescape at least. lol.
All the work and none of the glory, but that's probably how everyone feels. Heh.
I feel better now.
