Sherlock Fall Theories

So, I thought that before series 3 airs and finally reveals how the fall really happened at the end of series 2 (and that can't be a spoiler for anyone at this point! but I'll be vague out of the cut) that I would write out some of my theories.

So first off I will state that I have no idea how the entire "death" was put together. I can just see some of the pieces.

Molly was definitely involved. I'm betting she provided a false "Sherlock" and while she is a coroner she may have some skills of a mortician that could help another dead body pass for Sherlock. (Or perhaps make Sherlock look like he was dead if he did indeed jump [and land in the lorry?] before playing dead on the ground. I bet she was the one who later did the 'autopsy' ensuring that it wasn't revealed that Sherlock was dead.

[Though I can't see Mycroft not demanding to get other opinions or see Sherlock himself...but perhaps he blames himself for this. I don't think he was in on it from his reaction. Though of course he could have been, and it would have been much easier to accomplish with his help. In a situation where those Sherlock cares for are in danger I can see him going to his brother for help even though he hates him.]

Also I am fairly sure that the toxin from Baskerville was involved. I believe that the biker deliberately hit John and exposed him to the toxin (and was paid by Sherlock)--this also gave time to Sherlock to maneuver more before John got to him. I believe Sherlock called John and kept him on the phone (and far enough back that he wouldn't see details of the landing site--if there were any clues to be seen beforehand) to place the idea of Sherlock committing suicide in his head. Remember that the toxin increased fears, and when John was exposed before he 'saw' the Hound because that fear had been subconsciously planted in his head. And during that scene we saw and experienced his fear along with him. So during Sherlock's death scene we also experienced that moment along with John and saw what he saw. Not necessarily what was there. I don't think the knock to the ground (possibly head wound?) and shock completely accounted for how immediately John was seeing 'fuzzily' etc.

So whether it was a dead body on the ground that John only saw as Sherlock because of the clothes and some makeup or if it was Sherlock in death makeup etc., John saw what he believed he would see.

And I'm pretty sure that to pull this off Sherlock would have had to involve other people as well--though I'm not sure how it could be covered up if more people know...All those people on the ground couldn't have been involved. But people see what they expect to see after all and later convince themselves of it (they think they saw a guy jump to his death and the mind will remember that)...I'm guessing if some of them were plants, then Sherlock may have involved his delinquent and homeless network because they would be less likely to be believed and would be less likely to betray him because he's done things for them.

I think that's everything...

Well, just have to wait to see what I got right. Not sure when I'll be able to see the episodes. As I don't have BBC and don't want to do anything illegal I will probably have to wait until it comes out in the US. Which I've heard will be on Masterpiece PBS and I have two PBS stations--so it will have to be on one of them, right!?
