Norwich is currently running a heritage week. Which amounts to the public getting let in to see old things that they don't normally. A fairly sizable chunk of the city centre consists of 17th and 18th century buildings stuck on top of medieval cellars and undercrofts. I know what you mean. I've observed a fairly hefty correlation between involvement in maths, computing or physics, and an interest in playing music. In fact, I think playing music could be just as prevalent as the stereotypical geek interest in hard science fiction.

I guess I'm the exception on both counts.
