There are two Bloody Sundays in Irish history. The first was in 1920 when British troops fired into the crowd at a football match in Dublin in retaliation for the killing of British undercover agents. Didn't they get some heavy criticism for playing this song on the site where it happened?

My memory is faulty - the controversy was when the song was first released in 1983 and not when they played it at Croke Park.
The controversy on site was a soccer match between Ireland and England on the date a couple years ago.
