Actually, I like the BTTS designs. Much moreso than the 2003+ designs. But.. These new ones? It's like Teen Titans, only (vaguely) turtle-like. Bleah.

And yet, I'm not at all surprised. This is how a lot of animation is done these days.

Yeah, admittedly the FF/BTTS designs weren't too bad. Other then in FF they looked like they were sprayed with Neon. :P And the weird eyes in BTTS.

I'm a little less fond of the FF designs... The eyes in BTTS allowed for a bit more expression, I think, which I think was actually one of the most positive changes. I never have cared much for pupil-less designs. Even if that's how the original comics were done. c.c

But yeah, his 'HOW OLD ARE YOU' argument is bullshit. Google the shows he's talking about and compare/contrast. Along with you know- telling him politely as you can that trying to mimic other shows will make his designs get lost in a sea of blandness.

Yeah I agree. This is 2011, the animation should be incredible in this day and age. And yet it seems to be getting worse.

Worse is cheaper, alas. But I've long been of the opinion that a lot of animators these days need to be forcibly introduced to a little book called The Illusion of Life.

Some need to be made to read it. Others need to be beaten over the head with it. c.c

Honestly, I'm ranting on AIM over the animation. I mean why the hell does Leo have sticks for arms(especially in the upper arms. While the other three all have well defined muscle? His arms and legs are so thin I feel like I should be seeing the outline of BONE.

It just looks like something a kindergardner would draw. x.x

I responded. I just don't get it...he's a talented artist, why does he have to try to adhere to a specific style that everyone else is doing? No one got anywhere by not taking risks...hell Disney took more risks when he made the first animated full motion picture, and look where his company is now. :/

I don't get it either. As I told Sora, animation should be doing better than this in this day and age.

Holy shit, no! I am not feeling those designs! They look too alien and so far removed from the TMNT style in general. Yuck yuck yuck!
