Family Day....

Aren't the other holidays meant for spending time with family and friends? I guess it's going to fall under my previous argument for Valentine's Day... highlight that day that reminds us not to take them for granted...

I like having a holiday in February. It's nice to break up the winter blahs a bit. They could have called it "Stinky Feet Day" and I'd still be all for it. :)

Okay... I have to admit that sleeping in until 10 AM this morning was a treat!... And the only family I actually spent any quality time with today was the cat, until Terry came home for a little while.

It would just be nice to see some consistency in this superfluous holiday.

I spent the day with Scotty and Ceilidh, and I loved the extra sleep.

What kind of consistency would you want? I'm sure it would have been nice, especially with teachers such as yourself, to have had more advanced notice about it, to adjust the school year, planning, etc.

I guess consistency with everyone. Not just provincial workers but federal too. It's not much of a family day - especially for kids - when they can't all be together. Hopefully that will change in years to come.
