I just got the first three Dresden Files books from my girlfriend to read. I liked the show. I understand that most fans of the books didn't like the show, but that's how it always goes.

I would have enjoyed the show if they had simply made new characters instead of buggering the old ones. Morgan's a really good example of this. In the show, he was willing to compromise and bend rules, even if he was still a jerk to Harry. Morgan doesn't compromise or bend rules until book 11, and when you find out why, you also find out why he's never done it before. If the producers had simply called tv Morgan something else, then he'd have been a different warden, and I wouldn't have had a problem with it.

I'm picky like that. Let me know what you think of the books when you start reading them. I like them muchly.

I've enjoyed the books but I honestly believe that the Codex Alera series is superior to the Dresden series. Even though Dresden is what originally got me into Butcher in the first place ( ... )
