"Watch it!" Al Potter complained in a gruff whisper as his older brother plowed into him.

"Oi. Why did you stop anyway?" James rubbed his nose from where it had made contact with Al's head.

"That!" Al jerked his head in the direction of the Potter's living room where their sister was making a spectacle of herself on the family sofa, entwined with her latest boyfriend, Scorpius Malfoy.

"Mum and Dad can't be home," James said, remembering the look on his father's face when, at the last Weasley family lunch, Lily had casually stated she was going to Diagon Alley with Scorpius. Even better was Uncle Ron's comment that he'd never let his daughter date a Malfoy.

Spying his dad's newest Muggle toys, a TV and DVD player, James said, "I have an idea." He stepped around Al and headed for the case where Harry kept his movie collection, choosing one at random. He slipped the movie into the DVD player and started it playing with a flick of his wand.

He sat down on one side of the sofa and Al, who had disappeared into the kitchen, returned with a large bowl of popcorn and two bottles of butterbeer. He handed James a butterbeer and sat at the other end of the sofa.

Lily sprang up and glared at her brothers. "What are you doing?" she screeched.

"Watching a movie," James answered, nodding at the screen.

"Here? Now?"

"It's the only set in the house, Lil," Albus answered. Turning to Scorpius, he held out the bowl. "Popcorn?" he offered.

"No, thank you, Potter." Scorpius stood and looked at both Potter brothers in turn before focusing his attention on Lily. "I'll floo you later. Or, perhaps you should contact me when your brothers aren't around."

Lily followed Scorpius to the door, turning her head when she heard her brothers clink their bottles together.

She returned a few minutes later to find James slipping the DVD back into it's case. "What are you doing now!?"

"We've seen this movie before, so we're going to head up to bed. Sleep well, Lils."

The youngest Potter was left staring after the boys as they stumbled up the stairs. She fingered her wand as she muttered about prattish older brothers who behave like children when an idea occurred to her. With a smile, she followed them up the stairs.

The next morning Lily joined her parents in the kitchen. As she was pouring herself a cup of tea Ginny asked how her dinner with Scorpius was. Harry's hand gripped The Daily Prophet tighter at the mention of Scorpius' name. She addressed her mother first. "Dinner was great. Then we came back here, until James and Al showed up and chased him away." Lily stood up and peered over the paper at her father. "He's nothing like his father, Daddy. You just need to get to know him." Lily sat back down and picked up a piece of toast, smearing jam on it.

Harry folded the paper. "Now, Lily, I'm sure they didn't chase him away-" he paused as he looked up at the ceiling, as the sound of running through the upstairs hallways echoed down into the kitchen. Harry and Ginny exchanged looks.

Soon James and Al appeared in the kitchen, both clutching their pyjama bottoms, which were dragging along the floor behind them, too long for their seven and eight year old bodies.

James pointed an accusing finger at Lily. "She did this to us!"

Albus nodded, his face reflecting righteous indignation at the loss of twelve years.

"Lily," Harry asked, "did you hex your brothers?"

"Yes. And I will reverse it when they apologize. If they don't, they'll age again by midnight tonight."

"You'll reverse it right now," Harry began, only to be interrupted by Ginny shaking her head.

"Harry, as someone who had to put up with my older brothers, I'd think you should really be siding with your daughter right now."

Lily smiled at her mother before excusing herself from breakfast, patting both boys on their heads on her wait out of the kitchen.

When Ginny walked to the hob to fix tea for her little boys, Harry leaned across to whisper to them, "I'll buy you each a pint, as soon as you're of age again."
