Dear Katya,
Let me explain. First of all there is a homonym for claws which is Claus and is the last name of a benevolent elfish character who visits children, both human and otherwise in about a month. Those who have been very, very good get nice presents and treat. Those who have been naughty get coal which is a carbonaceous very hard material that can be burned to create warmth but is generally not considered to be a good present to recieve. These presents are put into stockings which children put out for him to put the presents in. There is a nice poem which tells the whole story in more detail. Perhaps your human will recite it for you if you behave. Please try to do so. I wouldn't want you to stay on Santa Claus' Naughty List.
