This is probably the busiest week of my summer, but I wanted to post this picture of my kitty. And other stuff.
One of my goals this summer is to clean out my kitchen cabinets and put new shelf paper in them. One of my kitten's goals is to get into every cabinet and sit in it. She is very good at opening just about any kind of door.
I came downstairs one day to find her inside the upper cabinet, where there happened to be no plates at the time.
Hubby and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary last Friday. We had a nice dinner out, went shopping a bit, and went to a club to listen to a band (the band wasn't very good). I got some beautiful flowers too.
While we were out at our favorite restaurant, I was talking about something, not paying attention to the jazz music they were playing over the speaker. You know, you're eating and restaurants are always playing some kind of music, but I usually don't pay attention to it. My husband stopped me and said "It's the jazz version of Jump". We listened for a bit, and sure enough it was the jazz version of Jump. You know, the song by Van Halen- might as well jump. This was a guy singing the lyrics to Jump, in a jazz song.
When I got home I looked it up on iTunes, and it is Paul Anka. He has an album called Rock Swings. He's taken several rock songs and put them to jazz music. It's interesting. He does a Nirvana song, too.
This week we've got swimming lessons for both kids in the evenings, karate in the evenings for my youngest son, and a daytime karate camp for him too. The kids are taking turns helping me clean my husband's office in the evenings. It will be hectic.
I bought Gogol Bordello's new CD Super Taranta today (along with the new Spoon album). Hope I have time to listen to it.
