I'm breaking my usual posting schedule of silence and memes to talk politics, specifically, tomorrow's referendum about the voting system.  Apologies to non-Brits, who this will be irrelevent to, and also to anyone else who prefers not to have politics shoved down their throats via LJ.

I've been bravely trying to convince people in my office to vote yes, not sure it's worked (I did convince my parents, aunt and one of my friends last night!)but at least I have given them the actual information rather than the rubbish from the no campaign.

I like the sandwich analogy! To take it further, for those people who only put one preference that's like saying if you can't have egg then you won't have anything and that's just cutting off your nose to spite your face! Well that doesn't completely work, it's more like saying "well I don't care then, just give me anything" and then ending up with ham and you hate that!
